Dr. Ryan F. Schmit grew up in New York State where he developed his love for the outdoors in the beautiful Adirondacks. Dr. Schmit enjoys many activities in the outdoors such as hiking, fishing, camping, snow shoeing. He also enjoys photography and capturing the natural beauty found in nature.
Dr. Ryan F. Schmit was born in Walton New York and raised in Gouverneur, New York. He developed his love of the outdoors while growing up and exploring the beautiful Adirondacks. He attended SUNY Morrisville, where he earned AAS in Engineering Science. He attended Clarkson University, earning a BS in Aeronautical Engineering and continued on to earn his MS and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. For the past seven years he has worked in the Air Vehicles Directorate within the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.
